Before installation.

• Make sure you receive the correct head, do a visual check before you start.

• Check that the head has no clogged water and oil holes, maybe there are additional screws or burrs left when the head was made, use the conflare to clean them if necessary.

• Check that your injectors are working properly and if necessary repair the problematic injectors.

• Make sure the cooling system is working properly and has no leaks.

• Use new gaskets and screws.

During application.

• Thoroughly clean the surfaces of the machine head and block.

• Clean the machine threads/holes with an old screw and air.

• Lightly grease the threaded screws and washers.

• Use a torque wrench and the tightening sequence given by the manufacturer.

• Follow all stages and allow 20 minutes between stages.

• If the engine wears a multi-leaf metal gasket, do not add antifreeze before the 1000km recheck.

In addition to the complete heads.

• If you bought a complete head, check that the camshaft, tappets or cups and all moving parts have the necessary lubrication. 

• Check the valve clearances and adjust them if necessary.

After placement.

• Make sure there is oil in all the new parts you just installed before putting the machine on.

• Make sure the  thermostat is working properly.

• Let the engine run until the thermostat opens.

• Turn off the machine.

• Make sure there are no leaks and that the thermostat has opened to the intended temperature.

• Make sure there are no leaks.

• Let the engine cool for at least 4 hours with the hood open.

• Open the water cap to drain.

• Recheck the head screws.

• Close the valve cover and deliver the car.

• At 1000 km recheck the head screws and add antifreeze if necessary.
